Bourbon On The Rocks, Memorial Day 2019

U.S. Marine Cpl. Jeffrey Standfest (L) and Petty Officer Third Class Thomas Lane.

Gods Speed.

Bourbon On The Rocks for Memorial Day 2019 is honoring two men from Michigan who died in service of their country. One died in 1967 during the Vietnam War and one in 2010 in
Afghanistan.

Both died serving this country. We must strive to never forget.

Today’s show honors their memory and the sacrifice they made along with the families and friends they left behind.

Please remember them and all those that died in service to this country on this day.

“It is the soldier, not the reporter, who has given us freedom of the press.

It is the soldier, not the poet, who has given us freedom of speech.

It is the soldier, not the protestor, who has given us the freedom to protest.

It is the soldier who salutes the flag, serves beneath the flag, and whose coffin is draped by the flag, who gives that protestor the freedom to burn the flag.
