They also discuss the latest goings on in Ferguson, asking some questions that need to be asked, and ponder the downside of the tendency of many to see the whole situation in absolutes. They’re also joined by Northside Correspondent Daywalker, who recounts his experience being on the ground in Ferguson (just outside the police department) last night, and weighs in with his thoughts re: the (lack of) leadership from Gov. Episode 43 of “Q with a View,” features Susie Moore and Jason Dibler discussing Big Hero 6, A Most Wanted Man, hockey, football and snow haboobs (yes, you read that right!) They also add some international flavor and discuss Russian aggression including planned sorties along the Gulf of Mexico, and the unsettling development of China teaming up with Russia to finance said aggression, along with the horrific massacre in a Jerusalem synagogue and ramped up tensions between the Israelis and Palestinians. They also discuss the latest goings on in Ferguson, including Missouri Governor Jay Nixon’s embarrassing inability to answer a simple question about where the buck stops. (Hint, it’s with YOU, Gov!) In Episode 42 of “Q with a View,” Susie Moore and Jason Dibler chat about Veteran’s Day and conduct a post-mortem re: last week’s elections. They also discuss MSNBC’s continued nose dive and ponder how the GOP could take cues from Obama re: how to address hot topics like “climate change.” On a more serious note, they talk about terminal brain cancer patient Brittany Maynard’s decision to take her own life and the mixed emotions many have in relation to that. They also discuss some of the recent developments in Ferguson and an upcoming special Susie is attempting to put together with Daywalker to present perspectives of several key players/camps — including the protesters, the police and the media. In Episode 41 of “Q with a View,” Susie Moore and Jason Dibler talk some more baseball — both the highs (like the Royals’ bouncing back in Game 6) and the lows (the sad loss this past week of Cardinals’ young outfielder Oscar Taveras.) They’re joined by special guest Chris Day, candidate for Congress in New York’s 17th District who gives them an update on his campaign as they head into the home stretch and also addresses the recent attack ad/mailer issued by his opponent, 26 year incumbent Nita Lowey, which mischaracterizes comments he made in a prior interview on “Q with a View”! They’re also joined by “Northside, Let’s Ride” correspondent, Daywalker, who shares his latest song “UFO” and discusses his plans to apply for a spot on the Governor’s commission regarding Ferguson. Lastly, they talk about the continuing unrest in the St. Louis/Ferguson area, including concerns raised by local school superintendents about the timing of the release of the announcement regarding an indictment (or non-indictment) in the Michael Brown shooting. In the third segment, they discuss the latest news re: Ebola, the legitimate concerns being raised about it, and why the NIH’s cry about more money doesn’t pass the smell test. They also discuss the heightened tensions in recent weeks between police forces and the communities they serve, exacerbated by stories like the one out of South Carolina where a trooper shot an unarmed man who was reaching for his license at the trooper’s direction.
