Q With A View

Every Tuesday night at 9pm Eastern/8pm Central on FTRRadio.com, SmoosieQ and her co-hosts, Mark “Dainty RINO” Warner and Jason “The Voice” Dibler, bring you sass, snark, silliness and occasional serious discourse from a right-of-center vantage point. With a variety of guests and no shortage of hot topics to debate, this trio (and their omnipresent Producer, Duke) serve up an hour of thought-provoking fun you won’t want to miss!

Q With A View #125 -

Episode 125 of “Q with a View” features hosts Susie Moore and Jason Dibler discussing all manner of recent goings-on. Susie tips her hat to legendary St. Louis radio station K-SHE 95 which is celebrating its 50th year of bringing “Real Rock Radio” to the air and to the Blues for their recent victory over the Stars and the Packers for their awesome playoff win against the Giants. (Even if Duke and Dibs aren’t so hot on the NFL these days.) They discuss Leah Remini’s A&E series on Scientology – it’s engrossing! Of course, they touch on Meryl Streep’s Golden Globes speech, the histrionics of some Hollywood elites and the unfortunate impulse of PE DJT to kick sand right back. They ponder the future for Missouri in light of its newly sworn-in Republican-across-the-board slate of officeholders and the new Governor’s stated aim of tackling ethics issues. They note how very fitting the “American Dialect Society’s” word (or term) of the year for 2016 (“dumpster fire”) is, with a nod to Jim Jamitis’ recent Red State piece. And Susie shares the SCOTUS Blog’s recent profile of her law school classmate Joan Larsen, who’s a potential Trump pick for Supreme Court nominee. It’s a fun and fast-paced show, so click the link and give it a listen!

Q With A View #124 -

After a brief holiday hiatus, “Q with a View” is back! Co-hosts Susie Moore and Jason Dibler spend some time catching up, discuss their New Year’s resolutions/goals, and Susie shares some tasty tidbits from the “Taco Cleanse” book she received as a gift. They also talk about the recent Blues-Blackhawks Winter Classic and Alumni Game – big wins for the Blues and the City of St. Louis. They remember Carrie Fisher and Debbie Reynolds fondly, and include a nod to William Christopher, whose quiet passing as the apparent last of 2016’s celebrity victims, seemed to match his Father Mulcahy character. They ponder Megyn Kelly’s upcoming move to NBC and the “Now you see it, now you don’t” weirdo move by the House GOP to scuttle, then unscuttle the independent ethics review board. They touch on the ongoing “Russian hacking” controversy and note that both the Clintons and the Bushes have announced they’ll be in attendance at the upcoming Trump inauguration.. It’s a great show so click the link and listen!

Q With A View #123 -

Episode 123 of “Q with a View” features hosts Susie Moore and Jason Dibler chatting about their plans for Thanksgiving, the pre-holiday shopping crowds at Target and Walmart, and Susie’s (successful) boob check. They reflect on the JFK assassination 53 years ago, and “the other life Oswald claimed” (officer J.D. Tippit.) They discuss Trump’s First 100 Days plan and the dangers of denial vs. normalization regarding the “Alt-Right.” They (reluctantly) address the Hamilton kerfuffle and the reasoned responses of Larry O’Connor and Mike Rowe. And they close out the show with their reasons for being thankful and fond tributes to some friends. It’s a great show so click the link and listen!

Q With A View #122 -

It’s mid-November and “Q with a View” is BACK post-election and better than ever. Susie wishes Jason a belated happy birthday and congratulations on his Cubs’ breaking of the curse. Q with a Review features Susie’s take on “Mars,” “The Accountant” and (a retro review) of “Lost in Translation.” They’re joined by special guest, Ben Howe, fresh off the release of his film, “The Sociopath,” its reception pre and post-election and what Trump’s improbable and surprising win means for the film and Ben’s future projects. They also discuss the concerning signal sent by Steve Bannon’s selection as chief strategist and the future of partisan politics. It’s a great discussion and a great show – so be sure to click the link and listen – and share!

Q With A View #118 -

– In Episode 118 of “Q with a View,” hosts Susie Moore and Jason Dibler begin by wishing a Happy 85th Birthday to their beloved Producer, Thomas LaDuke. They talk a little baseball and a little football – including a nod to Susie’s beleageured Tigers who trounced poor Delaware State 79-0 next weekend. Susie gives a mini-review of the quote along version of “Monty Python and the Holy Grail.” They discuss Ted Cruz’s recent “change of heart” and endorsement of Donald Trump, and Susie concludes that Cruz has the political instincts of a raisin. Susie gives her assessment of Monday’s debate (which Jason wisely avoided), including a final grade for each of the participants. They also ponder the looming government shut down battle. It’s a fun AND informative show, so be sure to click the link and listen – then share it with friends!

Q With A View #117 -

Episode 117 features hosts Susie Moore and Jason Dibler once again LIVE on FTR. Susie explains why she’s happy to have a voice after spending the weekend at her 30th High School reunion and (shockingly) talking a lot. Jason celebrates the Cubs’ clinch of the NL Central title. They chuckle over Twinkletoes Rick Perry, muse over some upcoming blockbuster movies and discuss the fact that “Brangelina” is no more. Naturally, they cover the recent bombings in NY and NJ and the somewhat unsettling revelation that the FBI had, in fact, had a heads up re: the bombers terrorist inclinations. And they ding Josh Earnest for minimizing the War on Isis by characterizing it as really just a war of narratives. (Those plucking shrapnel from their persons might take issue with that.) They talk about the upcoming Presidential debate and the recent police shooting in Tulsa and why it’s important for ALL “sides” to be willing to look and listen at where others are coming from, as Kira Davis notes in her latest piece from RedState. Lastly, as it’s Prescription Opioid & Heroin Epidemic Awareness Week, Susie reflects on the havoc it’s been wreaking in and around the St. Louis area and far too close to home and urges listeners to be vigilant in steering clear of this evil crap and helping those who haven’t to get help. They cover a lot of ground and it’s a good show, so be sure to click the link and listen – then share it.

Q With A View #116 -

It’s Episode 116 of Q with a View and hosts Susie Moore and Jason Dibler are back, technology gods be damned! Jason recaps the beginning of the school year. Susie got a year older and got to spend a day volunteering at a charity golf tournament for LoveU2Pieces.org. They talk baseball (as the Cubs battle the Cards) and football – fantasy and fauxragy. And Susie reviews “Sully” the latest Tom Hanks flick which recounts the harrowing water landing and bureaucratic repercussions of US Airways Flight 1549 in January, 2009. Then they move on to “The Parade of Deplorables” and deconstruct Hillary’s 47% of Bitter Clingers can’t Read My Lips Moment. And, of course, they don their stethoscopes in an effort to figure out what’s ailing Hillary. They also discuss the recent earthquake (Oklahoma’s fault.) Lastly, they reflect on 9/11 – 15 years later. Good stuff – be sure to click the link and listen.

Q With A View #115 -

In Episode 115 of Q with a View, hosts Susie Moore & Jason Dibler start out with their usual catching up. Jason recounts his recent (official) move to the Big D. They talk “back to school” and reunions and being old. Susie bemoans her beloved Cards while Jason enjoys his beloved Cubs. They also chat about the Olympics. Eventually they get around to politics – Susie reads and excerpt of Peggy Noonan’s recent column “The Week They Decided He Was Crazy,” they ponder DJT’s repeated unforced errors – including his controversial 2A comment – the weirdness of Sadiq Mateen showing up at a Clinton rally, and, not surprisingly, the fact that the “I Side With” quiz now points to Gary Johnson. And, as it was the two year anniversary of the Michael Brown shooting, they reflected on Ferguson, its aftermath and the haunting question of “Where Do We Go From Here?” It’s another good show, so click the link and give a listen. Then share it with friends!

Q With A View #113 -

Neither snow nor rain nor heat nor gloom of night…Q with a View returns! Hosts Susie Moore and Jason Dibler were back in the saddle again, and had some catching up to do! Susie gave an update on Mama Q, who recently underwent quintuple bypass surgery, Jason reflected on his impending move to the Big D, and Susie gave a brief review of her recent jaunts to the Muny to catch The Wizard of Oz, 42nd Street, The Music Man and Young Frankenstein — while keeping the audience apprised of the threatening storm outside. Thankfully, the storm didn’t knock the show off the air, and Susie and Jason were able to ponder the dumpster fire in Cleveland, including the intrigue provided by listening to the police scanners and the ongoing efforts by law enforcement to keep the numerous factions of protesters from maiming one another. Law enforcement was the theme of the evening, as they discussed the recent spate of police shootings, including the one which occurred in Susie’s (metaphorical) back yard. On a brighter note, they shared some of the sweeter moments that have occurred, where protesters and police have found some common ground and focused on letting love win the day. It’s a great show, so please click the link and listen!

Q With A View #112 -

On this special Wednesday Night edition of Q with a View, hosts Susie Moore and Jason Dibler return with a LIVE version of the show. Susie gloated over the Cards’ sweep of the Cubs (natch) and shared why she doesn’t think it’s outright nuts to establish an NHL franchise in Las Vegas (despite Jason’s skepticism). They talk Avett Brothers (and how it’s really not possible to DRIVE to Riviera Maya), “Wizard of the Oz” and Guys and Dolls (and why Marlon Brando was never considered a triple threat.) After the break, they discuss “Little Marco’s” re-entry into the Senate race in Florida, the Democrats’ “sit-in” on the House Floor, the DOJ’s questionable efforts at issuing “redacted” transcripts of the Orlando shooter’s 911 calls, the recent revelation that Trump may not be quite so flush (financially) and the whispered rumors of a convention revolt. Later, Susie resurrects the Susie’s Law segment to explain why both Sonia Sotomayor and Antonin Scalia garnered the ever-coveted blind squirrel designation (compliments of their shared support of the 4th Amendment). Lastly, they discuss how the future is NOW (under the guise of driverless buses roaming the streets of DC.) It’s an action-packed hour of show, so be sure to click the link and listen. And then share it!!
