Running on Repeal of Obamacare

Republicans are gaining momentum in their battle to retake Congress this fall, largely due to the unraveling incompetence of the current Congress and propelled by public backlash against the passage of the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act, or Obamacare. Political pundits are already comparing the upcoming mid-term elections to the historic election of 1994, when Republicans regained control of both Houses under the leadership of Newt Gingrich and his Contract with America. The potential for Republican victory, then, is encouraging to political conservatives lamenting the enormous losses of 2006 and 2008. And Republicans are aggressively cashing in on the current disenchantment many Americans feel toward Congress and the Obama Administration. continue
