Bourbon On The Rocks for Wednesday April-25-2018 has all this going down.

* Another recall hearing took place yesterday and what happened going forward? Duke covers it all. Recall petition language rejected for indicted Macomb Twp. trustee Dino Bucci

DROP IT COMEY

Bourbon On The Rocks for Wednesday May 17-2017 has a memo that was read over the phone via skype from the International Space Station on Mars.

* First up the county was FROZE yesterday after the New York Times reported that former FBI Director James Comey wrote a memo saying Pres. Trump asked the director to “let it go” about the investigation of Mike Flynn.

* A annual tradition in Michigan is being slightly altered. The Detroit Free Press is reporting that the Labor Day Walk across the Mackinac Bridge will be closed to car traffic for the first time do to terroist attack concerns.

*Also that city council meeting last Sat to hire a new C.M. had a interesting tidbit that most people missed and Duke EDUCATES the public to help CLOUD their judgment.

Bourbon On The Rocks.. St. Valentine Was Murdered Edition

BASEBALL IS COMING

Bourbon On The Rocks for Tuesday February-14-2017 celebrates St. Valentines Day the only way Duke knows how…..by welcoming BASEBALL BACK.

*The Detroit Tigers pitcher and catchers report in Lakeland, Florida today which means that BASEBALL is right around the corner and politics can suck it once again in the summer.

*Here in southeast Michigan back in the day ( The 80’s) a well known case of dealing drugs was tried a long time ago involving White Boy Rick. WBR is serving a life sentence for dealing and today he has a PAROLE BOARD hearing. Should he be released? Should we be locking people up that commit non violent crimes for life? Duke chimes in.

*President Trump’s national security adviser Lt General Michael Flynn bites the dust less than a month into the job. What is the bigger mess up? Talking to the Ruskies before you assume your job or LYING TO THE V.P. afterwards about it?

All this plus THIS DAY IN HISTORY on the best Bourbon On The Rocks EVER. At least until tomorrow’s show.

Extra Shot Of Bourbon With Wendy Lynn Day

3b792e1

Wendy Lynn Day who is now the FORMER grassroots chair of the Michigan GOP joins Duke on this very special Extra Shot Of Bourbon on FTR Radio.

Wendy was forced out of her post this past Monday after she refused to endorse in the general election the nominee of her party Donald J Trump.

Duke and Wendy talk about what her thinking is on holding a elected position in the GOP but also not feeling comfortable enough to endorse publicly the very flawed candidate of the GOP.

Also another related article from Chad Selweski called In Michigan GOP, opposing Trump is worse than committing a crime goes over some questions of others who have been in the party apparatus and have not been removed.

Give it a listen and see if you think the Grand Ole Party position is correct or did they overreact.

Any questions contact Duke at LaDuke@FTRRadio.com

Here in Michigan…Tea party has GOP candidates’ attention

A very interesting read by Detroit Free Press reporter Todd Spangler about the TEA Party movement in Michigan….

Across Michigan, they are meeting in libraries and diners, talking up friends and neighbors about free markets and bloated government, hoping to stir excitement for like-minded candidates.

In other states, candidates with the perceived blessing of the tea party movement have done well — sending some veteran lawmakers to defeat.

As Michigan heads to its Aug. 3 primaries, Republicans running for governor and Congress from the U.P. to southeast Michigan are paying attention and — in some cases — homage to the growing influence of the nascent, largely anti-government movement.continue
